next stop, vegas please...

ever reach that point where you just need to get out of town so bad you can barely stand it? well, that's me right now. life has been a little too insane. i'm in dire need of my traveling bffs, zero responsibilities, sunshine, champagne and my favorite escape destination: las vegas. ahhhhhh i'm counting down the hours till my bag is checked and we are high above the chicago skies heading west.

i'm not going to pretend i know what number trip this is to sin city, but i do know that each trip has been more memorable than the previous. sometimes i wonder if this trend is maintainable, yet each time we come home we all agree...wow THAT was the best visit yet.

Biggest Loser: The Finale

its hard to believe its been 6 months. i really don't know where time is going. but here we are entering summer, sunshine on our faces and our clothes fitting a bit looser thanks to all that hard work and dedication.

biggest loser has come to an end as of last friday. ironically, the scale at my gym was busted (seriously the only day i ACTUALLY need it?!) but i weighed in a couple days later and much to my surprise was down a pound. i know, doesn't sound like much, but when you have had a month of events, a bum knee you can't run on and other life things getting in your way...anything is progress!

so after 6 months i am down 18 pounds (and two sizes thank you very much). i'm not quite where i want to be, but like i said, it's a work in progress. and i'm okay with that. i'll get there. besides, there's no going back. all those clothes were bagged for goodwill and i certainly don't have the bankroll for another shopping spree.

it's the year of balance and this was a great way to kick start things. now, comes the struggle to maintain through the summer and push through the rest of the year living my most healthy life.
